Kanimozhi, Active Brain Behind Kalaignar TV: CBI

New Delhi (ABC Live): The Premier investigating Agency CBI on Saturday has opposed the bail plea of Kanimozhi and Kumar in Special CBI court with argument that Kanimozhi was "active brain" behind Kalaignar TV which received Rs200 crore bribe from Dynamix group.

The CBI also said that Shahid Balwa, whose company was beneficiary in the 2G scam, paid Rs200 crore to Kalaignar TV.

Controlling mind of Kalaignar TV is Sharad Kumar but the lady (Kanimozhi) "controls" everything from behind, it said.

It is to mention that Kanimozhi on Friday put all blame on former Telecom minister A Raja for Kalaignar TV which received Rs200 crore bribe from Dynamix group to secure bail for herself.

Kanimozhi wants to play pingpong game with CBI court to blame his closer corruption aide A Raja just to escape from Jail, hoping this calculated move by her after some underground give and take with congress,Raja and rest other.
If she will able to escape this way by putting blame on other than rest of all will use this , it is dangerous, Court should take this move seriously while deciding bail and her role in 2G scam.

Kanimozhi Chargesheet in 2G Scam Paves Way for DMK’s Exit

Chennai (ABC Live): The Ruling Congress Party ally DMK has decided to convene a high-level committee meeting on April 27 to take stock of situation following CBI’s chargesheet of 2G Scam naming Tamil Nadu chief minister M Karunanidhi's daughter and MP Kanimozhi and four others as accused.

It is to mention that on Monday flied second chargesheet in 2G Scam in which it named Kanimozhi has been charged with section 7 and 11 of the Prevention of Corruption Act.

Whereas Others who have been charge sheeted along with Kanimozhi are Kalaignar TV Managing Director Sharad Kumar, Swan Telecom promoter Shahid Usman Balwa's cousin Asif Balwa, Rajeev Agarwal - directors of Kusegaon Fruits and Vegetables Pvt Ltd, and Karim Murani of Cineyug Films (Pvt) Ltd.

It is to remember that all persons charge sheeted person today were already in jail except Kanimozhi, Sharad Kumar and Murani.

The charge sheet said the investigation into the case disclosed that money had travelled from DB Realty to Kalaignar TV.

Kanimozhi, Dayaluammal and Sharad Kumar, managing director of Kalaignar TV, have 20, 60 and 20% shares in the channel respectively.

The CBI told the court that Rs 200 crore connected with the 2G spectrum scam had travelled from a partnership firm of Swan Telecom Promoter Shahid Usman Balwa to Kalaignar TV Pvt Ltd.
